Recently, while waiting for a Strala Relax class to begin I was having a conversation with a friend about coffee. She mentioned that after she drinks coffee in the morning she feels giddy and the desire to spread love and good will to everyone she meets. This is really sweet of her and it got me thinking.
At the time of this conversation, I was actually trying to stop all caffeine intake but, I had to agree with her. Unlike my friend, coffee doesn’t make me want to run outside and give a homeless person my life savings (I’m exaggerating) but when I pour in my milk and inhale that aroma, it immediately puts a smile on my face. The sound of coffee brewing and the smell provide a comfort that remind me of my family and home growing up.
The routine of a glass of water, a few minutes of morning meditation, a few sun salutations then a glass of some yummy fresh juice with a hearty breakfast with a cup of coffee starts my day off perfectly and makes me feel like I’m one of the happiest people walking around Manhattan.
