7 travel tips to stay feeling great!

Hey there!

It was such a lovely time to connect with new and old friends in the UK. Big thanks to Hay House UK for bringing me to share Make Your Own Rules Diet at Ignite. It was so much fun leading Strala at W and Roko. We had a great time at a surprise event at the Reebok store in Chelsea. So much fun. I feel at home with our UK Strala vibe. See you next in Berlin!

Self-care is not only a good idea, but I’ve come to realize that it’s our main job while we are here. The more we take care of ourselves the more we can be an example of calm, ease, and connection to others.I’ve got some fun tips that work for me while I’m traveling to keep the self-care game on point. Let me know what works for you!

7 travel tips to stay feeling great!

Bedtime meditation: It’s often hard to wind down after a long day, so I always make sure I give myself 5 minutes before bed to calm my mind and my muscles with some simple yoga and mindfulness.

Drink water: Being on an airplane can be dehydrating, and it’s also easy to forget to drink water while on the go. Guzzle up! I always bring a water bottle with me that I can refill. Having it by my side is a good reminder to take a few seconds here and there for some H2O.

Get comfy: Nothing will feel as comfy as my own bed, but I do my best to get close! A sleeping mask and fuzzy socks help. I wear them to sleep on the plane and in my hotel.

Travel light: More bags to carry = more strain. I try to consolidate everything into 1 rolling suitcase and 1 backpack. It’s okay to wear the same pants twice! And I remind myself that 1 pair of sneakers is all I really need… not 4 🙂

Rest Up:
It can be the first thing to go when I travel, but I’ve learned to make it a priority to rest. I can enjoy so much more when I’m well rested. That means early bed time, hot shower or bath if I’m lucky and lights out. Sleep is essential to feeling fantastic.

Pack snacks: I bring little bags of nuts and dark chocolate wherever I go so I’m not stuck starving with no option for hours except super unhealthy ones. My favorite in-city game is heading to the grocery store and stocking the mini fridge in the hotel with all my favorite fruits and veggies to keep me energized.

Have fun! So much of my energy comes from the amazing people around me. Everywhere I go there’s someone new to meet and something new to try. I treat every trip, big or small, like an adventure… because it is! When I’m having fun so is everyone around me, and it goes both ways.
