How to find the right practice each day, Unconditional acceptance, and Transformation
I was just talking with a friend this morning, she’s working through a lot of tension and stress, and these days, every day is bringing a headache.  She’s here with us now on the Strala app, but said something like – Hey there are thousands of practices, how do I find the right one?  And we kept talking, about her spiritual practice, finding unconditional acceptance and love for her body as it is, at the same time as wanting to make things better.
I know so many of us are running into so much of this in everyday life, so just wanted to share with you here from our talk, in case you might find something that helps today.
As a start, not so long ago someone told us – Please just make a list of what to do that’s new each week.  So this is exactly what we have now.  We’re sharing here every day, and always there’s a good mix of things that are perfect for tension and stress, strength and recovery, and just feeling a little better.
And for unconditional acceptance, yes I understand this one completely.  It’s a big part of tai chi and qigong practices, where you’re not looking for perfect, you’re looking to see what’s real in you, right now.  There’s also a big next step in these practices.  Once you see what’s real, what’s here for you, you can transform it.
The foundations of tai chi and qigong, which we carry also into our yoga, give us a way of making it better to be here, and making here into something better.  I think that’s a big part of why so many scientific studies, maybe especially of qigong, find that it’s so effective with helping in areas like trauma, recovery, and healing.  And I know it’s a big part of why I keep coming back to these practices, for so many decades now.  Always whatever is going on with me, I’m finding something new that helps, right now.
