Recently I shared a Strala Guide’s moving experience from taking the Strala Online 30+Hour Intensive Yoga Training: Healing and Teaching Support for Trauma. Creating a safe space and how we are as Guides, along with the practices, has so much to do with healing. Helping others heal has been and always will be the main reason I teach others how to lead. How we are gives the space for others to heal and experience themselves in safety.
We’re happy to offer you 1/2 off the Strala Online 30+Hour Intensive Yoga Training: Healing and Teaching Support for Trauma through Feb 3 so you can gain the tools to heal yourself, those around you and those you lead. These practices have given me the ability to help thousands of Guides who help so many around the world every day. The ripple affect is beautiful.
There is a lot to learn with these practices. They don’t just happen because we write “you are in a safe space” on the wall or wish them to be. Change happens with meaningful, lasting change, and we’ve been focused on a better way since our beginning here.
You need to be on the web version for the code to work (not in the app) After you use the code, you can practice with the web version or app.
I’ll Share Again This Guide’s Moving Experience
“I’m currently going through the trauma healing and teaching support training on your yoga app, and I’m absolutely loving it! I’ve been studying trauma for some time, and this training really ties everything together for me in a way that makes so much sense. I just wanted to share my feedback and thank you for offering such a valuable resource.
Five years ago, I completed my teacher training with instructors who had a very hierarchical approach. They imposed strict rules, like not leaning during lectures or drinking in class. I often felt uncomfortable and disconnected from me and my practice. The two teachers were dancers, incredibly flexible, and they didn’t know how to support people like me who weren’t as flexible. This left me often feeling frustrated after the sessions.
I had a similar experience at a training with a well-known Anusara teacher who, instead of engaging with students, would show off her splits during breaks, because she was so proud being able to do splits at the age of 70. When someone mentioned that her class was challenging, she rolled her eyes. It always felt off to me, but I didn’t have the language or support to understand why.
Later, I did a trauma-sensitive teacher training, which was eye-opening. It helped me develop a deeper sensitivity to how yoga can be lead in a more inclusive, compassionate way. But I still struggled with how to integrate that knowledge with what I had learned previously. I tried my best to integrate the knowledge I gained about trauma and the impact it has on people also in yoga classes.
Then I found you. 🙂 It was like everything finally clicked. Your teaching style—non-hierarchical, rooted in kindness, and focused on connection—resonates deeply with me. It’s exactly what I had been searching for, and I’m so grateful to have found a way of leading that validates my own feelings and experiences.”
