Get started with How to Practice at Home Now

32 Daily Talks, Meditations, and Yoga Practice Sessions, covering a complete range of topics and big picture ideas including how to build sequences that meet your own unique needs and flow in a way that’s perfect for you, working through the roadblocks that hold you back, setting up the best space for practice, and opening a mindset that keeps you always creating exactly what you want, beginning right here in your own home.

Whether you can clear a whole week for this retreat or simply find a few moments in your day, you’ll discover here a foundation that gives the confidence, comfort, skills and freedom to build an adaptable home practice to meet your exact needs, every day. When you practice to feel better, in way that reflects what you need in each moment, you are on a freeway to your own wellbeing. I’m thrilled for you to get hooked on a positive practice of progress through yoga and meditation. Welcome to your home practice for creating just what you want, for just what you need each day.

Ease of mind. Healthy, Strong Body. Connection to Creativity. These are a few of the many affects of a regular home practice that feels like you.

It’s so easy to not practice. We are so used to letting our busy schedules consume us and let ourselves get distracted with whatever free time remains. Getting real with what you want out of a practice, and how you want to feel, is the first step in creating a lasting home practice that works for you. Yoga only works when you practice. I’m honored to guide you through creating a routine, magical setting, sequencing, and habits that you feel great about and keep you hooked. The possibilities are limitless.

Each day in this retreat is themed to guide you through lasting transformation, and build the habits and routines you need to create a lasting practice that works for you. We begin with reflecting on roadblocks that have held you back, releasing self sabotage, and creating a real, self-uplifting habit that you feel great about.

Next we dive into where in your home is best to practice, what time, and what types of routines work best for you in each situation. This is about getting familiar with movements, vocabulary, psychology and space, so you feel free to improvise and create your best practice every day. I’ll walk you through exactly how to tone up, tone down, and change sequences to affect your mood, build strength, openness, and meet a wide variety of your needs and desires.

I’ll also walk you through several ready-made practices for all kinds of days, all kinds of challenges and goals, so you can follow along with anytime and use them as inspiration for creating your own.

You deserve to feel better in your home, in your body, in your mind, and in your life. I’m thrilled to help guide you in creating a sustainable support system for yourself from right where you are. Soften. Take a big deep inhale. A long easy exhale. Now let’s begin.

Strala 2023 Calendar supporting @thecharliefund is here for you. stralaapparel.comDesign of the calendar and repost @jes.lock“Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much”
– Helen KellerGrowing up, I never felt connected to a community. I’m sure many (and first gen immigrants) can relate; the feeling of being an outsider, of not belonging in the only place(s) we know as home.I’ve had a lot of healing around community. I carried the belief that no matter where I went, I didn’t belong. This belief was challenged when I went to my first @stralayoga training back in 2017 in Amsterdam.Even though we were all from different backgrounds and cultures, this group of people felt…warm. We were gathered together momentarily for a similar purpose: to connect to ourselves, to feel better.“How you are is how you lead” Tara and Mike’s words still echo through everything I do.Because for the first time, it wasn’t about proving myself or trying to be someone in order to fit in.For me, it was about finally softening into myself. Allowing myself to take up space, to be seen. To stop pushing and honouring where I’m at (instead of beating myself for not being where I could be)And around me, so many people were also unlocking their own lessons. We’re all echoes of each other.
Because as cliche as it sounds, we heal together. When we take care of ourselves, it ripples into everything around and within us.For the first time, I felt at ease in this group of “strangers”. I could feel the resonance, the openness, the belonging. And years later, this community keeps growing while spreading softness and ease. Embodying their values.Prioritizing their well-being even when it’s challenging at times. Because self-care is not selfish. We are body and mind.
Taking care of my body helped soothe my mind.
Taking care of my mind helped heal my body.So proud and grateful to be part of this beautiful community ❤️ Thank you @raebroderick for such a brilliant idea, thank you @tarastiles @stralayoga for all the connections, opportunities and ease.
