Yoga can help people lose weight, gain weight, or accomplish pretty much anything else they want. A couple of factors are important here, across pretty much everything you do.

If you do things with a lot of stress and struggle – including exercise – this isn’t so helpful.

If you do what you do with ease – allowing stress to leave your body and mind – a cascade of healthy behaviors result. You become your own best caregiver!

This is why yoga can be much more successful for weight loss than ordinary gym exercise.

 

Calorie-counting and burning isn’t the most important thing. Taking good care of yourself is the most important thing. Again, it matters how you do everything you do.

 

2) Your body responds really well to what you do every day – both good things and bad things!

Just like eating good food and breathing clean air, it’s important to practice your yoga every day. It’s important to care for yourself every day.

This isn’t just about weight loss. This isn’t just about your body. It’s about all of you, your whole life.
