I started my yoga practice many years ago with a vinyasa type class which I loved from the very beginning. I didn’t realize this then, but what made me stick to it was my teacher’s approach; it was easygoing and free of dogma. I come from a very competitive background, always demanding myself the best performance in any activity I got myself into (volleyball, running, adventure races, etc). From that mindset, I felt the need to push and go further even in my yoga practice. Although I had walked away from competing, I was still doing it, only this time it was “against” myself. That lead me to a pretty serious shoulder injury that made me have to look for other ways to move.
So I decided to try Taichi, since it seemed like a logic choice to replace yoga, as an alternative moving meditation. Soon I found out that this way of moving made me feel healthy, strong and keep a calm mind. As I healed and wanted to go back to yoga I googled yoga+taichi+healing and STRALA came up. I had hit the jackpot!!
Since then, Strala has been the only way to yoga for me, it is so in tune with my true nature and has helped me deeply to reconnect. That is why I immediately knew I wanted to become a guide to spread the ease and help others feel the same way. I love the way Strala is so off the mat, it is more about YOU and the way you can be, with all your potential. It is the perfect combination of ease, confidence and creativity; all put together trough the exploration of movement.
