Intensive Training, 2016, 20
I started my yoga practice in 2010 because there were some open classes available and someone told me it could help me with my backaches, so why not?.
Since day one I just loved it, I had done contemporary dance in my college years and somehow this connected me to my feminine and sensible side which I had changed over the last years for a more aggressive and competitive practice of Mountain bike and adventure races.
Yoga slowed me down and made me realize that there was no need to train for anything to be healthy. All I needed was to move my body in a coordinated and graceful way.
Over the years I tried Ashtanga yoga and even got badly injured along the way. This made me overthink my approach to yoga and question the way it was normally instructed in regular classes. I instinctively knew it wasn´t exactly what I needed. So I began my home practice, got into taichi and scrolled on the internet and books, looking for ways to continue on a harmless and respectful yoga path. And that´s how I found Strala and fell immediately connected. After a year of practicing with online classes, finally made it to NYC for the Intensive training on 2016.
At the moment, I am guiding friends and family at my beautiful building´s garden and at a small studio. More recently I started a Seniors Strala Gentle class at a Pilates and rehab center. Hoping to continue my growth this year by completing a 200 hr Ready to Lead Training.
