In the last month or so we’ve heard a lot of messages from people looking for encouragement to get back into a lasting wellbeing practice. A constant forward motion of doing our best without nourishing our needs eventually leaves us depleted. We serve our families and communities so much more effectively when we honor our own needs first.
Repeat it with me, self care is not selfish. Let’s take that a step further. Self care is essential for our collective wellbeing. Whether it’s the pressure of business, routines and schedules changing suddenly, or anything else, it’s important to reprioritize taking good care of you, especially when you fall out of habit.
Our theme for August is You Deserve a Fresh Start. I choose to be gentle with myself as I work toward progress. Thankfully we have live practice every day to remind you to slow down, breathe deep, move well and take good care of you. Yes, this practice will get you strong, focused, energized and physically healthy. But equally important, it will realign you with the vibrant mental health you deserve, and nourish your emotional needs.
