Writing your book, getting it out in the world, and feeling great about it, all seems like an impossible expectation. But like a yoga practice of softness, steadiness, and ease, no matter the challenge, it’s completely possible. I am so thrilled to guide you through the whole process!

I’ve written and published 8 best-selling books, translated into multiple languages, with a 9th in process, all in completely different ways. How I came up with the idea, how I wrote each book, worked with an agent or not with an agent, found the right publisher, marketed each book, and found the perfect supportive community of authors and readers – the best way through every step has been unique, each and every time.

These beautiful books have been my ticket to traveling the world, allowing me to meet and connect with so many amazing people who want more ease in their lives, just like me. And whether you’re just beginning to think about writing and sharing your story, or you’re looking for some detailed support and inspiration along any and every step of the way, what we’ll share together here is perfect for where you are right now.

You can begin this course any time, and go all at your own pace.  Also once complete, our zooms, instructional sessions, and practices are all saved and remain yours to use a resource, whenever you want. Please understand that once a reservation is made, we are not able to give refunds.

The cost for this course is $700 and you can begin any time, please click here to register now.

We also have scholarship help and easy installment plans available.  If you want to be here and need help, please just let us know (email Mike@StralaYoga.com).

Our program is backed by the Chair of Neurology at Harvard, and Director of the Genetics and Aging Research Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital, Dr. Rudolph Tanzi, as well as by mind-body medicine pioneer Dr. Deepak Chopra.  Strala is also a Registered Yoga School (RYS) with Yoga Alliance Professionals.

Here’s a secret, just to begin.

Having a successful book isn’t about being popular. It’s about creating a community, that people want to be part of.

This Was My Dream. What’s Yours?

My dream since I was little was to meet people from all around the world who are different from me, and share my gifts for good. I didn’t know how that would look, but it feels super amazing to be living this out. Writing, having my books published, and the work of promoting and touring with them, could be my full time job. But I also enjoy our incredible Strala Yoga community, and spend a lot of my time leading classes, workshops, and trainings, and volunteering my time with various organizations that can use some more ease.

I also have a young daughter and a partner and a full family life of responsibilities and priorities. All of my work feels like fun and it is, but it also needs to work to support the people in my life, and it does. I tell you all of this, because I know your life is also probably very full already, with some space for your dreams. It’s important not to waste attempts at your dreams on processes full of stress and fear, that lead you in a non-productive direction. Everything new can be scary and full of unknowns, and I know that book writing, publishing, and marketing can be especially challenging with all its mysteries.  But, it’s magical to go after your dreams. And it’s possible to make it all work wonderfully, in your real life.

There Are No Short Cuts, but You Can Do This.

After nearly two decades of having my books published, and enjoying all the benefits that come along here, I’ve also been pitched along the way a whole lot of courses and programs that promise to make your book a best seller, and make all of your life’s dreams come true. I find them, and I’m sure you might as well, a little off-putting. I’ve been exposed as well to lots of insider-insanity – authors buying and storing piles of their own books in order to make a best-seller list, posting loads of reviews from their own teams instead of actual readers, making people buy many copies of books to attend an in-person event – the list goes on and on. I’ve stayed far away from all of these tactics, mostly because those kinds of pressures and actions make me feel uneasy. It’s all so far away from the magic of why we come together here, to share our stories.

I’m finally coming out with this course, because so many of you have asked me these questions over the years, about all the ins-and outs of ideas and writing and publishing. And even though there are no short cuts, I’m happy to share with you everything I know from start to finish, to starting and finishing again and again. Writing a book is hard. It’s even harder to convince someone to publish it. It’s even harder to convince people to read it. It’s even harder to create a community around your ideas.

I’m here to take the heavy out of hard, and show you how to work through these challenges with actions that will move you toward your goals, and probably a whole lot past them. Achieving more than you thought possible, just like in yoga, happens so often when you stay focused on the process, instead of just one end point along the way.

Also please remember, there’s no need to be organized or perfect or have your endpoints all figured out. If you’re interested in writing, but don’t have a strong desire to publish your work, you’ll also discover here a structure and support for ideas and writing to flow into your self-care practice. Follow your unique dream. Publishing a book is not a requirement for enjoying the process of writing.

Let’s begin. Your Chapter One Starts Now.

What You’ll Find Here

I’ve been a reader and a writer like most of you, since kindergarten. I wrote a story in first grade called Liquid Love, about a magic potion that escaped a bottle, and seeped everywhere to spread love. I followed that up with something similar but a bit more fantastical, involving a bathtub full of green jello oozing out of the tub and house, and all over town.

It doesn’t take too much self-reflection to learn I like to spread good things. Thankfully, I found yoga and ease. It set me on a wonderful path to finding a way to be in my life that is helpful and soft, and a community that I can lead, be led, and share with others.

Finding your theme for your writing won’t take too much, but it is a little bit of a fun dig. Chances are you are already creating, writing, or living out this theme in so many ways, in all that you do. Writing is all about focusing those feelings and ideas into a gorgeous poetic structure, that includes and excites anyone who picks up your pages.

We’ll dig into your theme, your book’s theme, and all the ins and outs of getting it on the page, into the form of an actual real-life book, and into the hands of your amazing readers. I’ll share all I know, and be with you every step along the way. And of course, because it’s us, we will practice a lot of ease in some yoga that’s especially designed for writers, to keep us feeling calm, creative, and connected along the way.
