5 Lessons from Summer Camp

5 Lessons from Summer Camp

Hi Friends, I've always been nostalgic for summer camp, even though I never went as a kid. My life was full of awesome adventures in dance, and in family camping trips, so no complaints of fun and exciting activities, but for some reason my heart got stuck on summer camp. I think because I love to be in group so much, love the energy that a bunch of people with the intention of self-improvement and positivity bring. It's just so uplifting and fun. We're in the middle of Strala Summer Camp at the studio here in NYC. It's an awesome…

No Flexibility… No Problem

There is a stigma commonly associated with the practice of yoga; the need to be flexible in order to participate! This misconception has kept thousands of people from enjoying the many benefits of this incredible practice. Well, it's time to clear the air and set the record straight. YOU DON’T NEED TO BE FLEXIBLE TO DO YOGA! In fact, flexibility doesn’t come easy for most men. Freedom Leading

Leadership isn't a cakewalk and the only preparation is practice. I have always been drawn to leadership for many reasons. I love team building, organizing around a feeling, a mission and a goal. I appreciate the power and impact a group can have on a mission for good. I have loved been building teams since I was a kid, around dance, around my first jobs, and now with Strala. I realize and acknowledge that I am able to do a lot with my own energy and efforts, but with a group, we are able to accomplish so much more. I…
The Practice

The Practice

I frekin' LOVE Barb Schmidt. Her and her daughter Michelle Maros, aka Strala Guide, and multi-talented gal, have become a close, extended family to me. They have so much energy, passion, and excitement and most importantly the tools to help people find peace within. Barb's energy is contagious and its' doing so much good in the world. She recently invited me down to Boca to give a talk-turned-Strala class on the field at FAU stadium. We had such a blast basically celebrating and energizing our passions around Making Our Own Rules, which brings us right to our intuition, leading right…
